About Our Law Firm
Our father-and-son law practice is firmly focused on practical solutions no matter the allegations you find yourself facing. We will work closely with you to get to know you, your immediate goals and your long-term interests. We will make sure that a solution that takes care of a problem today won’t have unintended consequences down the line for you.
Our attorneys have over three and a half decades of established relationships with other attorneys, judges, prosecutors, probation officers and law enforcement, too. That might be because attorney Larry P. McDougal Sr. has an extensive background in these areas. Larry worked his way through college and law school as a police officer in Fort Bend County. He’s also served with the Harris County District Attorney’s office, and he’s a former municipal judge. He teaches professional ethics to lawyers throughout Texas and is Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 2013. Board certification is granted to select attorneys who meet rigorous standards and continually commit to the highest quality of legal services to clients.
Larry P. McDougal Sr. was the 2009 recipient of the President’s Award from the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. In 2012, he was elected to the Board of Directors of the State Bar of Texas in 2012. He is currently President-Elect of the State Bar of Texas for 2019-2020. Larry McDougal Jr. is both a member of the board of directors for the Fort Bend County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and Fort Bend County Bar Association. He has been a recipient of the Rising Star Attorney award every year since 2016.
